Arriving in San José and Check-In at Hotel

You are commencing your exhilarating journey within a flight to Costa Rica using the best available airline.
You will arrive at Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO).
You will be transferred to Isla Verde Hotel, located within the metropolitan area of San José.
You will check into a comfortable 3-star hotel for a 5-night stay.
You will take the afternoon to rest and relax after your travels; feel free to enjoy the hotel facilities to start your trip more quietly.
You may take a tour of the nearby Pavas neighborhood, which has sodas or restaurants near the US Embassy where you can have dinner.

San José City Exploration and Local Culture

Start your morning with a tasty daily breakfast at the hotel.
Spend a good portion of your day enjoying Costa Rican city life with either a self-guided or organized tour of San José downtown.
Visit, and learn about, the beautiful National Theater, perhaps the most recognizable building of history and culture in Costa Rica.
Explore some of the treasures at the wonderful Gold Museum.
Experience the energy and local flavor at the lively Central Market.

Full-Day Arenal Volcano, Waterfall & Hot Springs Tour

Get an early start with the daily breakfast that is included.
Set off on a complete day tour with a guide to the stunning Arenal area.
Go on a scenic hike close to the majestic Arenal Volcano.
Learn fun facts about the history of volcanoes, as well as the rainforest environment.
Travel to La Fortuna Waterfall for some amazing views and photos.
Hike down to the bottom of the waterfall, and enjoy a swim in the cool water below.
Before returning to your San José hotel that evening, relax in natural hot springs at the end of the adventure.

Relaxation or Local Excursion from San José

It will be a free day for you to relax and recharge at the hotel.
Enjoy your time and unwind from the adventure of the past day.
If preferred, take a half-day trip from San José.
You can visit a coffee plantation in the Central Valley and learn about Costa Rica coffee.
Another option is to see Poás Volcano National Park (depending on access/reservations).
Return to the hotel and enjoy a dinner and a comfortable night at your fourth hotel night.

Day Trip to the Pacific Coast or Cartago

Begin your day with the breakfast that is part of your package.
On the second to last day, visit somewhere new outside the city.
You could do a day trip to the Pacific coast, and to beach towns such as Jacó or Puntarenas.
Experience mellow beach life and the beach vibe.
Alternatively, you could visit a region called Cartago, which is rich in history and natural beauty.
You may visit Basílica de Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles and see its beauty.
Visit Irazú Volcano National Park where on a clear day you can see spectacular views that span from one coast to another and head back to Isla Verde Hotel for your last night.

Final Breakfast and Departure

Have breakfast at Isla Verde Hotel again on your last day.
And enjoy the relaxing vibe on your last morning in Costa Rica.
After breakfast and drying your luggage depending upon flight time, if time permits, you may be able to do some final souvenir shopping.
Or you can take a peaceful last stroll around the hotel.
Your trip ends with a private transfer from the hotel.
Then at leisure you will arrive at Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) for your flight home.

Initially, a 25% low deposit of the total holiday cost is required.
The balance is settled monthly at the time of booking, as agreed upon between the lead passenger and the travel consultant.
The final 35% will be settled 6 weeks before departure.

Traveller names must match the names on passports. If passport details change after booking, you must inform us immediately.
Passports must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date.
