Explore Lima's Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage
After breakfast, explore the Ciudad de Los Reyes, popularly referred to as the "City of Kings," which is situated in the Rimac valley. It is Lima's historic district, and the metropolis had a crucial role in the history of the New World.
Explore Miraflores
Just south of the city's centre, on cliffs overlooking the ocean, is the Miraflores district, a combination of contemporary glass-and-steel office buildings, lovely older colonial residences, and a lot of open space. You may find chic stores and eateries providing the "New Peruvian" food that is gaining popularity across the globe in the culinary world here. It's typical to see hang gliders drifting from cliffs above surfers in the waves below. Beautiful parks and green areas extend along the cliff tops viewing the lake. There are many things to do here.
Drive to Cusco, City Tour of Cusco, Peru
In Cusco, Peru, you can visit a large number of churches, if you have never set foot inside a church. Within their walls, there is exquisite art and holy items. The best aspect is that visiting these colonial paintings is inexpensive, usually costing only ten soles or less. They show local life at the time as influenced by the blending of Inca and Spanish culture. Some highlights are the Coricancha, the Basilica Cathedral, and the Iglesia de la Compania. Visit Plaza De Armas for lunch. The square in Cusco is the most beautiful, and the gorgeous Plaza de Armas view is unrivalled.
Machu Picchu and return to Cusco
Machu Picchu, a historic World Heritage Site, is well known in Peru, and Machu Picchu can be reached in several ways. Make a hike, like the Inca Trail, a well-known path to Machu Picchu. The fastest route, though, is to travel from Cusco to Ollantaytambo by rail, then take the subway to Machu Picchu, both of which provide breathtaking landscapes. When you reach Aguas Calientes, a little village, you may take a bus up to Machu Picchu. Take the train home late afternoon if you wish to return to Cusco the same day.
Discover the Sacred Valley of the Incas
After breakfast, explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The ideal opportunity to escape the city is offered by the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The old Inca remains and terraces in this valley, which they extensively occupied, can be explored on half-day or filled trips. Go to the stunning Salt Mines, the stunning circular terraces close to Moray, the Ollantaytambo ruins, or the Pisac traditional markets. The Sacred Valley is rich in culture and history.
Enjoy the chance to visit Cusco once more
Are you outfitted for a hike? From Cusco and the surrounding region, it is ideal to see Peru's natural beauty and embark on fantastic adventure trips. After breakfast, head to see if you enjoy competitive sports or more leisurely explorations. This assortment of outdoor excursions has something for everyone. Among the available activities are ATV excursions, mountain biking, horseback riding, zip-lining, rock climbing, and visiting the Sacred Valley's artwork. If you'd like a more leisurely approach to end your trip to Cusco, the enormous white statue Cristo Blanco towering over the city is a terrific option. Take some time to relax in the verdant meadows above Cusco and enjoy the breathtaking views of the city.
Get ready to leave for Peru
After breakfast, a van will transport you to the airport for your return trip. Carry with your recollections of the Inca land. Happy departure!
