Brussels

Belgium · 3 nights

Brussels is one of the most visited destinations globally, a modern and traditional holiday paradise in the European region. Despite its importance, Brussels, the capital of Belgium, the Belgian Royal Family's primary residence, and the European Union's seat, is surprisingly small, laid-back, and human-sized. Unlike picturesque Bruges and Ghent, which are overrun with tourists, Brussels serves as the country's economic and educational centre, giving it a more laid-back vibe than other cities. It is also where you can genuinely experience Belgian culture, particularly its fantastic restaurant and café scene. Although other Belgian towns may have more prominent tourist attractions, the capital city of Brussels has more than enough activities to keep tourists occupied for a few days. Don't forget to stock up on the renowned chocolate from Brussels once you've craned your neck in awe of Gothic and Baroque splendour. Mechelen

Belgium · 3 nights

Mechelen is a Belgian city located between Brussels and Antwerp. An enormous altar and a masterpiece by Flemish artist Anthony van Dyck may be seen within the 13th-century St. Rumbold's Cathedral. St. Rumbold's Tower, which is attached, provides 360-degree views of the city. Deportees to WWII concentration camps were kept at the military barracks at Kazerne Dossin, which now houses a museum and monument to the Jews and Gypsies who went through. Mechelen is a mediaeval Belgian city located between the more well-known cities of Brussels and Antwerp. This little Flemish town is jam-packed with arts, culture, churches, breweries, magnificent architecture, and gastronomic treasures to keep you entertained throughout your holiday. Mechelen, Belgium, has so many amazing things to do that you could easily spend several days visiting this charming city. Exploring Mechelen makes you feel you've stumbled into an unknown city. Unlike touristic Brussels, this vastly underappreciated Belgian city is serene. Mainly if you go during the off-season.
