Discover your day-by-day holiday flow
Begin your vibes with a day to swim in the sapphire waters of Montego Bay's beaches, then head out to visit Rose Hall Great House, which you can reach by taxi from Montego Bay in about 30 minutes. The attractive Georgian mansion is an example of a great house in all of the West Indies. You can learn about the history of the sugar plantation and see the restored interior during tours of the house and its gorgeous grounds. And also, you can learn and taste about their diverse food culture, head back to Montego Bay proper to join Jamaican Alrick Allen, aka Your Jamaican Tour Guide, on his customized tasting tours of the area. He'll take you to a local fish market by the sea to see that day's fresh catch hauled in.
Rise and shine early to make the 1.5-hour drive west from Montego Bay to Negril, Jamaica's self-proclaimed Capital of Casual. The once bohemian beaches and home to many of the island's top hotels. There are seven miles of golden sands to explore along the aptly named Seven Mile Beach; it's fantastic. Things aren't as wild as in the days of yesteryear on Negril's West End at Rick's Cafe, known for its cliff jumping antics that meet their apogee at the exact moment of the night's syrupy sunset. But it's still fun to join the crowds for the spectacle and a cold Red Stripe beer - not to mention a jump from a lower perch if you're so inclined.
On your fourth day, head to Falmouth, a pretty little Georgian town that's home to Jamaica's newest cruise port. On the way there from Montego Bay, make time for a meal of authentic jerk at Scotchie's, a famous little roadside place where you can see the meats grilled up the old school Jamaican way - over coals of wood from the allspice tree to impart the tastiest flavours. A town that takes you to the well-preserved colonial district and Water Square, the site of a stone reservoir built-in 1798 that had brought running water to Jamaica before New York City even had it.
After the busy vibing days, give a day to making the most of Jamaica's beautiful north coast beaches and nature with time spent relaxing on the sands of Montego Bay or Ocho Rios and visiting the island's famous waterfalls. Research for the best time to visit and vibe, to avoid the bulk of the cruise ship crowds, and plan to spend a few hours in the refreshing waterfalls at Dunn's River Falls. From top to bottom, it's nearly 200, and Dunn's River Falls are famous for their length, almost 600 feet. The falls are step-like in appearance and feature small pools dotted over their span.
To get far away from the tourist masses, decide to spend a while on the beautiful curve of land in Jamaica's remote northeast corner, where steep mountains plunge to the ocean in Port Antonio in the parish of Portland. The culture-rich area is Jamaica's breadbasket, and banana trees, orchids and palm trees bloom. You can continue a rafting trip on bamboo rafts along the stunning Rio Grande River, then follow it up with a delicious crayfish feast at Soldier Camp, a hard-to-find restaurant that's well worth the effort for the authentic dishes served up.

As this is the last day, take a chance to explore without the beach, sun, and sand everywhere. It's adventure time as you can explore and take in views of the Caribbean's tallest mountain ranges called the Blue Mountains. They are fantastic 7,402 feet high, and the lush hills are on the longest-lasting chain of mountains where the famous and delicious Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee is. You will experience a different vibe just taking a drive here. These fantastic breathtaking mountain views give you a sense of peace and relaxation like no other.
