Rynek Glowny (Main Market Square)
Start your day in the heart of Old Town Krakow. Grab a coffee from the cafes in the massive square. Watch the crew dodge pigeons in the early morning as they wander across the square.
Look at that enormous hall on Rynek Gowdy.
Stroll in the market, Sukiennice (Cloth Hall), as it is often known, has been churning out wild deals since the fifteenth century. Use your negotiating talents to buy excellent Polish souvenirs for your loved ones back home.
One of the many notable buildings can be seen here. The remarkable St. Mary's Basilica, a 70-meter tower next to the Cloth Hall, and the Town Hall Tower each have two separate Gothic towers.
Old Town Krakow
Next, explore Krakow's Old Town; you'll love the quaint ambience. It gives the impression that you have travelled back in time thanks to its colourful facades, charming inns and taverns, and occasional churches. The bohemian society used to assemble in Swietego Tomasza, a renowned road now a charming boulevard with restaurants.
Wavel hill
After seeing Old Town, move a few blocks south and marvel at Wawel Hill's crown jewels, Wawel Royal Castle and Wawel Cathedral, which are Krakow's most sought-after cultural landmarks.
If you have to select between the attractions on Wawel Hill, try the Royal Tombs in the Wawel Cathedral and the Crown Treasury in the Wawel Royal Castle. Plan carefully because Monday opening hours can be hit or miss.
Kazimierz
In Krakow, it was forbidden to enter the former Jewish neighbourhood. Outsiders rarely came; if they did, they would have considered this gloomy place highly unlike Old Town's eternal beauty.
Ulica Szeroka, the former main street of Jewish Krakow, is an excellent place to start your tour of Kazimierz. One of Krakow's most recognisable thoroughfares is Ulica Szeroka, flanked by eateries and nightclubs, the Remuh Jewish Cemetery and two significant synagogues, the Old Synagogue and Remuh Synagogue.
If you're starving, stop by one of the eateries on Ulica Szeroka or make your way through the narrow streets of Kazimierz to Restauracja Starka for a taste of traditional Polish cuisine.
Discover the city
Following that, go on a city tour to discover more about the location.
The next thing you should do when visiting Krakow is attend one of the Chopin concerts hosted at concert halls in the old town.
