Discover your day-by-day holiday flow
Discover Copenhagen's jazz scene
Most people are surprised to learn that Copenhagen has a thriving underground and mainstream jazz scene. The city centre is home to a plethora of little jazz cafés and pubs that offer performances, such as Hvide Lam and Jazz Cup, the latter of which can accommodate just four people at a time, not counting the band and the bartender. Copenhagen is home to many well-known jazz venues, including La Fontaine, the illustrious Jazzhus Montmartre, and the Christiania Jazz Club. Except for the last one, club bookings are frequently made weeks in advance, and admittance and drinks may be a bit pricy.
Wander around in the city centre
Even though it sounds cliche, adding a stroll around the inner city to your three-day plan for Copenhagen can be one of the most delightful things you do. Explore the meandering busy streets filled with shops, the Round Tower, Rosenborg Castle, and the Botanical Garden, as well as Copenhagen's most recognisable landmarks: the Plservogn, or sausage waggons, as the locals call the little hot dog carts that line the city's main thoroughfares.
Day 1
Visit one of Copenhagen's renowned museums
The British Museum is in London, the Louvre is in Paris, and Madrid features the Prado. Have you ever wondered what Copenhagen's most famous museum is? Or has anybody you know ever asked you that question? The National Gallery of Denmark, the National Museum of Denmark, and Ny Carlsberg Glyptoteket are three excellent places to visit for a more in-depth exploration of Danish art and culture.
